Flávio Caporali is an artist who uses the sea and nature to communicate his perception of life and the world.

A surfer passionate about the ocean's diversity and power, a painter, sculptor, and muralist, he is considered an "Artist of the Sea". He identifies with the marine environment and reflects his emotions through the beauty of nature.

1. Collection - Body and Soul

This collection represents the energy and force of ocean waves, observing each one as a being whose existence and life story are revealed in its final moments.

Composed of acrylic on canvas, the paintings of this collection announce the influence of the winds, currents, and climate that each wave faced throughout its life, characterizing its personality and posture at the apogee of its "Grand Finale."

To contemplate the beauty and harmony, or the aggression and fury, in the final performance of a wave is like witnessing an act of life. An intimate and expressive explosion of a being that, before departing for another plane of existence, tells us its story, distributing particles of its "body and soul" to all.

2. Collection - WINDOWS TO PARADISE

The blank canvas represents a new beginning and a new opportunity. Each work in the collection titled "Windows to Paradise" were blank canvases that offered me the chance to travel to imaginary places that bring me great well-being.

Created with acrylic and oil paintings on canvas, this collection interprets, through marine nature, dreams and states of mind of great happiness and full of magic. The coexistence between the inner world (underwater) and the outer world ( surface ), represents two dimensions of life united by the light that is part of everything.

Try looking through each window and experience the journey to Paradise that each one can offer you.

3. Collection - COLORS WITHIN ME

The marine world is incredibly creative. How could I represent it in paintings while capturing at least a glimpse of its diversity? This was the question I asked myself before developing the style used for this art project.

While creating these pieces, I discovered that working freely with color when crafting the backgrounds was the key to achieving the diversity of forms and tones I sought. By allowing the colors to blend naturally, the result reveals a rich, varied chromatic palette upon which I can then define and develop the theme of each work.

This collection allows for an imaginative exploration, seeking naturalness and creative freedom, to represent the diversity of marine ecosystems within the confines of painting.

4. Collection - WHEN I SEE MYSELF IN YOU

In this collection, I use painting on canvas to represent the intimate connection I feel with the sea and nature, and how their phenomena directly relate to our emotions and feelings.

The act of painting allows me to relive experiences, process them, and express them on the canvas using vibrant, personal hues. By blending surreal, magical expression with techniques of light, shadow, and perspective, I create an emotive, colorful narrative that uses nature and its elements as a language.

This work offers an opportunity to pause and contemplate, to look inward and connect with the well-being nature provides, and to recognize oneself as part of a whole that grows and blossoms; that sings and enchants, yet also screams and rages; that conquers and illuminates; that builds and destroys; that is born, dies, and is reborn; and that ultimately smiles, yet also weeps.
